Posture Control Mechanism of Disease Model Animal
This research aims to elucidate the neural mechanism of walking and standing. We also try to connect the discovery in neural mechanism for the understanding and medical treatment of dysfunctionality due to neural ataxia.
We have following achievements.
* We proposed an experimental environment for posture control of standing using rats.
* Control structure of standing rats was analyzed using the above environment and dynamical model of standing. This analysis showed some common control strategies between rats and humans.
* Posture control of rats with lesion in cerebellum was investigated in this environment. This analysis showed a chaotic instability in rat similar to human patient with cerebellar ataxia.
